Recording
Our intent here is to help our clients capture their performances in a time and to a budget to suit their needs. We will talk through your requirements in advance and prepare to make the best use of your valuable time here at the studio.
We are equipped to make recordings of any performance, from karaoke-style fun with friends through fit-for-purpose demos to release-quality music, spoken word, podcasts or audiobooks. We'll set you up in our live room and mic you and your equipment to suit the sound you want for your project. We will then work with you to track each part of your project and create a solid basis for mixing and mastering.
Gift or Party Experiences are also available for individuals and small groups.
We use AVID Pro Tools, the close to industry-standard audio production software package, to capture, edit and mix your recordings. We also use the Izotope suite of music production, audio clean-up and repair tools.
Our rehearsal/live room can accommodate small bands/ensembles - for solo or more intimate recording, our control room can be used if preferred. Both have been finished neutrally in a way that allows artists to create an environment that best suits them, should they wish.
Most importantly, we want our clients to perform what they want to their best in a relaxed, friendly and non-intimidating environment. Here at Rough Slope, we don't let the tail wag the dog - that is, the talent is the focus, not the gear or the process. Whether you are completely new to recording or an older hand, you are welcome at Rough Slope.
